College Scholarships For Fallen Officers.

"Honor Their Sacrifice. Educate Their Legacy"

The Robert L. Zore Foundation is pleased to announce our “Fallen Officers” Scholarships.  Students whose family member is a first responder or are planning to go into a first responder’s field of endeavor such as criminal justice, law, public safety, military, or the academy, may apply for a $1,500.00 scholarship.  

 

Donations from all our events will go to support families and students in Collier and Lee County. 

Currently there are 36 Fallen Officers in Lee and Collier County, and our Scholarships will be donated in the name of each officer. Recipients are encouraged to research their scholarship’s namesake.  We hope to increase these scholarships yearly with your help.

Collier and Lee County Florida Scholarships:

 

The Robert L. Zore Foundation is pleased to announce their Scholarship program for Collier and Lee County. Any student can apply for the $1,500.00 per scholarship.

 

Requirements for the scholarship:

 

1. If your parent(s) or any family member are current or retired law enforcement you may be majoring in any field. 

 

2. If your parent or family member is not a current or retired law enforcement officer, you must be planning to or currently majoring in criminal justice, law, public safety, attending the academy or some type of public service. 

 

3. A Collier, Lee County High School Senior or Full Time College student.

 

4. Currently maintains a 2.5 minimum grade point average.

 

5. Must be a resident of Collier or Lee County.

HOW TO ENTER

The Fallen Officers

Fill out the form below to complete the RLZF Scholarship entry form.

Al essays should be typed in English with no color or graphics and 300 - 400 words ni length +( or - 5-word max). The essay must be contestant's original work and a product of the contestant's own thinking. The approach to the theme should be positive and clearly focused. Poetry is not acceptable. The body of the essay must not identify you in any way, (including, but not limited to your name, school, city, state, race, or national origin) Quotations may be used sparingly if plainly identified wherever used. Acontestant's teacher, counselor or parent may check the essay for punctuation, grammar and/or spelling, but the content must remain the contestant's work. Use of ChatGPT or other Al tools is not allowed.

Your RLZF Scholarship entry must be submitted to RZore@thefallenofficers.com by the April 1, 2024, along with a separate cover page noting the following:

Deadline for applicants is April 1, 2024. All applicants will be notified by May 1, 2024.
